Carpet and moquette as components of home and office interior decoration play an important role in creating the cofortable environment for living and working. Moquette, on the other hand, has received more attention in schools, offices, mosques and homes because of its lower cost and ease of use. Indoor ambient air is a complex mix of bio-aerosols and non-bio-particles. Among them are human and animal skin scales that are shed on the moquette, as well as other fungi, viruses and bacteria. Today, the moquette industry's share of the interior decoration market has declined due to reasons such as increased allergies, asthma and some other diseases in carpet or moquette -covered areas. Some methods can be used for disinfecting moquette such as bacterial spoilage of latex compounds during manufacturing or use of antibacterial additives in moquette structure. As a new approach, the use of nanocrystalline antibacterial materials will cause antibacterial activity on the surface and inhibit bacterial growth and odor.
