Co-Kneader is a low-shear rotating and reciprocating single-screw extruder that is designed for the continuous production of shear- and temperature-sensitive compounds. This technology is completely different than other conventional single or twin screw extruder technologies. Co-Kneader has a unique mechanism. While the shaft rotates axially, also moves back and forth continuously. Also, there are three or four rows fixed pins on the liner walls. These fixed pins will be stay in the gaps of the screw flight while rotating the shaft. During this process, the material is not only sheared between the pins and kneading flights, but also inverted. This unique mechanism ensures the best homogeneous dispersions with shorter L/D rates, lower temperatures and lower pressures.

Co-kneader have been designed and manufactured in two different types: symmetrical and asymmetrical; the later has been manufactured for the first time in the world.   • Avoid applying the thermal stresses to the extruder during the process.
  • Avoid entering the metal parts such as screws and nuts into the machine.
  • In order to improve the machine performance, the regular inspection of the gearboxes oil and timely lubrication of the bearings are necessary.
  • Before starting the process, heat the machine nearly up to the melting temperature of polymer materials.

  • During the process, the extruder body temperature reaches 200 to 300 degrees Celsius, so contact with the device body should be avoided.
  • Avoid standing in front of the extruder head during the operation, because the pressure of the head outlet goes up to 100 bar.
