Improving wear and corrosion resistance in different specimens has always been importantly considered, and various approaches are widely used such as selection of suitable materials for pieces or the application of coatings which reduces the erosion. On the other hand, color is the most important feature of the decorative coatings. The most well-known hard decorative coating is TiN. Applying TiN coating on a smooth substrate, provides an attractive finish and brings a high hardness and wear resistance. This yellow coating is applicable on metal surfaces such as titanium, steel, aluminum, brass and Zamak.
