Introduction Application Properties Advantage Of Using Nanotechnology Product Basket
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is the third most common synthetic polymer after polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP). PVC is a lightweight plastic that is used in the construction. Addition of lubricants makes this material softer and more flexible than plastics. If no lubricants or plasticizers are added to it, the resulting material is known as UPVC (unplasticized polyvinyl chloride). Addition of nanoparticles to PVC improves its impact resistance and compressive strength.
UPVC is used in dental industry, pipe applications, cabling applications as a wire insulator and so many other applications. It is commonly used in the building industry, mostly for window frames and sills when installing double glazing in new buildings, or to replace older single-glazed windows.
This product is UPVC profile containing nanoparticles that shows a remarkable increase in impact strength by adding nanoparticles.
It has been found that the addition of nano powders significantly improves both the toughness and stiffness of PVC, while having little effect on the tensile strength.
